A lot of change over the years has resulted in the modern music school Milton. Ehen you look at the history of music, in olden days say about 150 years ago, musicians had to perform themselves or be amongst other musicians if they wanted to listen to music, forget about learning it. However, when Thomas Edison came up with the phonograph in 1877, recording music was possible and the world of music changed forever. It allowed people to organize music artfully around the recorded music not requiring creatingit themselves. Since then, it has shifted musical experience from both perspective of a maker and a consumer.

The evident question

Now, the question that evidently arises is whether or not the students learning music has kept up with the pace of these changes over the years. You tend to think is it high time that music lessons and education need a complete metamorphosis, as most experts suggest. Several researches conducted on music curriculum and its development has revealed that the lessons that are currently offered in music schools are almost vocal and large instrumental ensembles exclusively. Such classes are performed under the direction and guidance of one person. This means, students have a limited scope to create music of their personal interest.

The science of music

Students simply follow, listen and learn music that is already created, few now and some centuries ago. Research says that any average adolescent usually spends 4 to 5 hours listening to music which is around 18 percent of all of the time in their lives. This inspires them but they are hardly able to create music of and by their own. Another significant point of concern is that these people listen to music that is digitally created but in music schools conservatory models are used for musical transmission and that too classical music which is a meager 1.4 percent of world music sales.
